The photos on this page are of people we’ve linked to the story of Anne Hughes’ Diary. Their memories of events and of other people they knew could prove invaluable to our research and, if possible, we’d like to get in touch with them or with those who knew them. They include a UK Women’s Land Army ‘land girl’ and American soldiers of the US Army’s 6th Armored Division and its 38th Engineer General Service Regiment, formerly known just as the 38th Engineer Regiment. Most were photographed in Sarsden, near to Churchill and to Chipping Norton, England in 1944.
